Aaron Tinkle, DDM, received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) School of Dentistry. He kept a part-time position as an Associate Clinical Professor at OHSU from 2006 – 2010 and is still a frequent lecturer for the school.
Before he purchased the practice on Belmont in 2009, he worked in Canby and Southeast Portland. He frequently expands his dental knowledge by attending continuing education courses.
In 2012, Dr. Tinkle was elected President of the Oregon Academy of General Dentistry and served a one-year term. In 2013, he was given the honor of being a CEREC Mentor and Trainer — this means he gets to travel all around the country teaching other dentists how to use CAD/CAM dental technology.
Dr. Tinkle has been in practice for over __ years and is a well-known expert in his field with a record of excellence. He has chosen to focus his training and practice on Family Dentistry and is pleased to offer his patients comprehensive, compassionate dental care that meets their oral healthcare needs. His services include Preventive, Restorative, Orthodontic, and Cosmetic Dentistry as well as Full Mouth Restoration.
With every case, Dr. Tinkle is passionate about the individualized care he provides his patients, and he finds it very rewarding to be a part of restoring their oral health as well as their smiles and confidence.
Dr. Tinkle is a frequent lecturer for OHSU School of Dentistry, where he trains residents in the field of General Dentistry.
Dr. Tinkle lives in Portland with his wife, Amanda, also an OHSU graduate who practices dentistry in SW Portland. They have a son Isaac, daughter Arden, and dog Wrigley. When he is not solving the world’s problems one cavity at a time, he enjoys running marathons, visiting OMSI and the Oregon Zoo (with the kids, of course) and watching college football and the Blazers.
Dr. Tinkle always wanted to be in the medical field because of the human connection and he was really enamored with the technical challenge that dentistry brings. He knew from speaking to his grandfather, aunt, and uncle (all dentists who graduated from OHSU) how rewarding dentistry could be. Their enthusiasm for the profession and their patients really helped him decide that dentistry was the best career for him.
